What is PREDYS?

PREDYS is an international project that was born thanks to the collaboration with Erasmus + and its main objective is to support children at risk of dyslexia in the transition period from early childhood education to primary education.

What are the objectives of the project?

  • Help children with dyslexia to make an easy transition from preschool to elementary school and have the opportunity to develop their full potential in the new educational environment.

  • Create a set of materials for teachers and families taking into account the appropriate knowledge and characteristics of these students.  

.

  • Implement a set of tips and exercises with initial information on study skills for each boy and girl depending on their individual needs.

What countries participate?

The partner countries of this project are: Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Turkey, Portugal and Spain.

The different organizations that are part of PREDYS are the following.

  • SANT JOSEP SCHOOL (TERRASSA): Nursery, kindergarten and primary school that is immersed in different international projects. They are the coordinators of the Predys project.

  • KOCAELI IL MILLI EGITIM MUDURLUGU (TURKEY): Local Turkish organization that aims to prepare children in an optimal educational environment.

  • SDRUZHENIE "ASSOCIATED DYSLEXIA" (BULGARIA): Dyslexia Association whose main objective is to support children with dyslexia as well as make it known within the community. ​

  • REZEKNES TECHNOLOGIJU AKADEMIJA (LATVIA): Public institution of higher education and science that implements scientific research studies and creative artistic work.

  • MANGUALDE SCHOOLS GROUP (PORTUGAL): Grouping of schools from kindergarten to higher education located in the Mangualde area, Portugal.

  • 4TH PRIMARY SCHOOL OF HERAKLION (GREECE): Greek primary school which welcomed many refugee children who suffered the consequences of countries at war or in poverty.

What are the intellectual products of the project?

01. Pedagogical framework . Part in which the subject of the project (dyslexia) is put into context with all kinds of articles and works by authors and experts from different countries.   .

02. Toolkit . Set of activities that will support schools and families to detect and help children with dyslexia.

03. Piloting . Implementation of the toolkit in different educational centers to obtain and assess the results of these activities.
